Perspectives film festival (pff) 2022 & 2023

I served as Festival Director and Editorial and Multimedia Head for Singapore’s first and longest-running student-run film festival for 2022 and 2023 respectively. In 2022, I spear-headed the use of TikTok and a ‘Framing with Perspectives’ series featuring monumental Singaporean figures such as Sharon Tan (co-founder of The Projector), Tan Biyun (director of ‘Citizen Hustler’), K. Rajagopal (director of ‘A Yellow Bird’) & He Shuming (director of ‘Ajumma’).

In 2023, I led my team around the theme of ‘Sound’, featuring Southeast Asian premieres of 2023 festival darlings (‘Smoke Sauna Sisterhood’, ‘The Klezmer Project’ & ‘Paco’), works by celebrated auteurs (‘Perfect Days’ by Wim Wenders, ‘Blue’ by Derek Jarman & ‘The Music Room’ by Satyajit Ray), and restorations of monumental works (‘The Shout’, ‘Black God, White Devil’ & ‘Trances’).
